Deine Aufgaben an Deck:

• Du bist verantwortlich für die technische Betreuung, Neuerstellung und funktionale sowie ganzheitliche Optimierung unserer Websites, auf Basis von WordPress und WooCommerce
• Du bist mitverantwortlich für eine optimale User Experience und legst den Fokus auf eine benutzerfreundliche Bedienbarkeit der Produkte
• Du betreust und pflegst Anbindungen von verschiedenen Services und Schnittstellen an das Frontend, stellst Diagnosen und behebst Probleme (Bugfixing)
• Die Konzeptionierung, Überarbeitung und Erstellung von Produktdetailpages sowie Landingpages gehören ebenso zu deinen Aufgaben wie die Implementierung und Überarbeitung neuer Features, Integration von Extensions und Plugins sowie webbasierten Projekten
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Marketing- und International-Teams sowie den Schnittstellen Finanzbuchhaltung, Kundenservice und Logistik.
• Du unterstützt in der technischen Suchmaschinenoptimierung (SEO)
• Serveradministration, vorbeugende Systemüberwachung, Qualitätssicherung und Kontrolle der Funktionen sowie Durchführung von Updates und Instandhaltung der Systeme gehören ebenfalls zu Deinem Aufgabengebiet

Das erwarten wir von dir:

• Du hast mindestens 3 Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung in der Webentwicklung, vorzugsweise als WordPress-Entwickler, und kannst hier sowie in gängigen Shopsystemen (Bspw. WooCommerce, Shopify) sehr gute Kenntnisse vorweisen
• Ein erfolgreiches IT-Studium, eine IT-nahe Ausbildung oder ähnliche Qualifikation
• Du hast allgemeine Kenntnisse in der Frontend-Entwicklung und Erfahrungen mit der Einbindung von Websites und Hosting-Lösungen
• Außerdem bringst du Kenntnisse in Frontend-Technologien wie HTML5, JavaScript und CSS3 mit sowie eventuell auch in PHP
• Gutes Gespür für User Experience, Design und nutzerzentrierte Entwicklung
• Du bist ein starker Teamplayer, übernimmst gerne Verantwortung, bist offen für Feedback und kommunizierst Misserfolge genauso gut wie Erfolge
• Du blickst gerne über den Tellerrand, bringst eigene Ideen ein und arbeitest lösungs- und zielorientiert
• Proaktive, zuverlässige, gewissenhafte und selbstständige Arbeitsweise mit ausgeprägter “Do’er” Mentalität
• Du bringst eine hohe Eigenmotivation und Begeisterungsfähigkeit mit, die andere ansteckt

The wind is good and there are still so many opportunities that we would like to capture and explore with you! You can expect the task, to support a small growing Startup in the middle of Berlin with your creativity and your technical skills as well as putting the user experience of our customers to the next level. 

Your tasks aboard: 

• You are responsible for the technical support, new creation and functional development of our websites, based on WordPress and WooCommerce. 

• You are jointly responsible for an optimal user experience and focus on a user-friendly usability of the products 

• From concept to development, testing to live launch – with lots of room for creativity and fun you are responsible for the creation of new websites for NORSAN 

• You work independently but rarely alone. You’re in a constant exchange with your colleagues from Marketing and international Country Managers, finding new and individually solutions and you’re involved in projects and processes 

• You support and maintain connections of different services and interfaces to the frontend, analyze/diagnose and fix bugs. 

• Conception and implementation of new features, integration of extensions and plugins as well as web-based projects are also part of your tasks. 

• You support our search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. 

• Server administration, preventive system monitoring, quality assurance and control of the functions as well as the implementation of updates and maintenance of the systems are also part of your responsibilities. 

What we expect from you: 

• You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in web development, preferably as a WordPress developer and can therefore demonstrate very good knowledge in common e-commerce shop sytems (eg. WooCommerce, Shopify) 

• A successful IT degree, IT-related education or similar qualification 

• General knowledge in frontend development and experience with the integration of websites and hosting solutions 

• As well as general knowledge in frontend technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3, perhaps even PHP 

• Good sense of user experience, design and user-centered development 

• You are a strong team player, like to take responsibility, are open to feedback and communicate failures as well as successes
• You like to think outside the box, contribute your own ideas and work in a solution- and goal-oriented way 

• Proactive, reliable, conscientious, and independent way of working with a strong “can do” mentality 

• You bring a high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm that excites others
